21st Century Community Learning Center
Spokane Public Schools is proud to partner with Communities in Schools and The Zone to bring you 21st Century Community Learning Centers for elementary and middle school students. These programs offer kids opportunities to stay engaged in real life activities, stay active, learn some new things, enjoy themed weeks and have fun!
21st Century Community Learning Centers are no-cost programs and serve breakfast and lunch with some off-site experiences included.

Native Youth Summer Program is held in the West Central Community of Spokane for youth entering 1st grade thru 8th grade for school year 2025/2026. The program is hosted by The NATIVE Project, Spokane School District 81, and Title 7 Indian Education.
During summer break they provide NP active patients (Medical/Dental/BH/SUD) a 4-week program from July 7 - August 1, 2025, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, youth in 1st-8th grade. Their goal is to address and eliminate health disparities in BIPOC communities and to increase on-time HS graduation, while creating a strong and healthy & vibrant community.
Summer Fun with Just One program runs from July 8th to August 23rd. Each day is packed with exciting field trips, hands-on activities, and opportunities to build friendships!

The Northeast Youth Center has available spaces for working families in need of childcare from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Additionally, they offer part-time school day options for families requiring care Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Their program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and includes comprehensive family support services, such as nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) and health screenings, social emotional learning, resource fairs, and referrals. They also conduct family engagement nights and provide parenting training and classes throughout the academic year.

The Art Walk - Local businesses transform into pop-up galleries—bursting with color, creativity, and the work of Hillyard’s talented artists. Visit all the art galleries on the map, collect your stamps, and bring your book to Red Dragon for a chance to win prizes!
Live Art Activities - From live painting to DIY crafts, experience creativity up close and get involved with interactive, family-friendly art stations.
Live Music & Performances - Soak up the sounds and street energy on Market Street with live music popping up in green spaces and local businesses

Free High School Summer Gym Pass
All High School Summer Pass participants will have access to free fitness training from in-club certified fitness trainers6, free workouts designed specifically for high schoolers in the free Planet Fitness App as well as workout plans available at PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass.
