The ZONE Resident Steering Committee
The ZONE Steering Committee
The ZONE Steering Committee is made up of local residents working together to address the priorities that matter most to them and their neighbors. The committee meets regularly to discuss community needs, make recommendations, and help shape our programming and investment strategies.
2025-2026 Priorities:
Both youth and adults are at the center of our priorities, ensuring intergenerational impact. We also prioritize mental health, which is essential for achieving lasting change and is directly influenced by the factors within each of our priorities. These commitments are embedded in each priority area.
- Employment - Increasing access to career pathways, skills development, and opportunities that build economic mobility and support residents in achieving long-term employment success.
- Community Belonging - Strengthening community connections, accessibility of resources, and neighborhood safety to ensure residents feel supported, included, and empowered. Central to this is neighborhood connectivity, recognizing that strong relationships and networks are essential for achieving lasting change.
- Life Skills - Providing residents with practical tools and resources to strengthen independence, well-being, and readiness for life transitions across all ages.
To drive these priorities forward, sub-committees have been formed around each topic. These groups work closely with ZONE staff, advocating for solutions and developing programs that meet the needs of children, youth, and families in our community.
