The ZONE in the News…and a Supply Drive!

Check out the great article in the April 15th Spokesman Review that features Zone Project Family Resource Coordinators and all we are doing to support families with kids in Northeast Spokane survive the COVID-19 crisis. We are grateful for several new grants that are helping us invest in food, toiletries and support for families — thanks to Innovia Foundation and Safeway Foundation! We so appreciate the support. We are planning on purchasing culturally-appropriate foods for cultural, ethnic and religious families in NE Spokane who are struggling right now, as well as purchasing toiletries and coordinating a delivery system.

Yes…toiletries, feminine products, paper products and household cleaning items are in short supply for many families. Not only is money short right now, but many families cannot get out to stores or the shelves are bare. Many thanks to our partners Spokane County Communities in Schools and Gonzaga University! We are partnering with them to raise funds to purchase items to be shared with families in need throughout Spokane County. If you can donate any amount, we will match it with our Innovia Foundation funds to make your gift go farther so more families can stay clean and stay healthy!
